Welcome to Les Mini Kats Cattery;  We are a small cattery in Northeastern Pennsylvania focusing on breeding Munchkins and Napoleons for health and temperament of each breed. We are a TICA Registered Cattery,We choose to only keep 3-4 queens and 2 studs in our program for now so we can focus on raising  happy healthy fun-loving kitties.  We purchased our first breeder boys from Ittybittypaws and our persian girls from Paws are Purrs Cattery, they are now registered to Lesminikats Cattery through TICA.  These catteries were chosen for their breeding skills and producing the same happy healthy litters and mixing excellent lines together to produce some very incredible cats.  Currently we have our 2 chocolate persian girls for our Napoleon breeding program, a chocolate spotted tabby female standard munchkin, and our lilac mackeral tabby standard boy and our seal & mink boy.

LOLCats...fun for the whole family!

We saw and fell in love with our first munchkins on exhibition at a show in New York in 1998, and bought our first munchkin at the beginning of 1999.  In doing this, it sparked the interest to share this breed among cat lovers everywhere.

Our goal is essentially to share the short legged kitties with the world, as they are an amazing breed between their agility, personality and affection.  We have been owners of Munchkins as pets since 1999, and decided to breed after a few years of research and thought.  Breeding is not something to just jump into without knowing what you are mixing together.  We also do not consider our cats part of the "DWARF" breed, as this is not a genetic downside, it is a natural occurrence in cats.  They are in no way dwarfs, the do not develop bad bones during their life, nor do they have back problems.  We do notice however, the seem to outrun and hide from the long legged cats in the house, as they are just a bit speedier and can fit under smaller things that big cats can't get under.  They have spunk, and most of our cats love to play with toes under covers on the beds.

Some of the breeds we work with are not yet showable with TICA, however many breeders across the US are working on getting excellent lines registered with TICA so eventually they may acheive champion status as the munchkin has made.
