We do require a $150 non-refundable deposit on a kitten, as when a deposit is received, the kitten is posted as not available, and any other inquiries are denied unless the person buying the cat backs out of the contract. We sell on a first come, first serve sort of basis. Meaning, if there is not a waiting list, the interested party may have first pick of the litter etc... This has not yet been a concern as all of our kittens have been amazingly beautiful (thanks to the wonderful lines we have gotten our cats from), and new owners have been very pleased with the kittens they've gotten here.
When you adopt a kitten from Lesminikats Cattery, each kitten is checked for all genetic and congenital illnesses possible. They do not leave the cattery until they are 12 weeks of age. We start vaccines around 8 weeks so each kitten will have 3 sets of vaccinations before leaving here so we know their immune systems are up to par. New owners MUST have their kittens spayed or neutered when they are old enouogh and give rabies shot at 16 weeks. If something should be discovered during the first 3 months of ownership that is genetic with their kitten, the new owner has the option to take another kitten or a refund from the cattery. We are very cautious about the health of our kittens, they are thouroughly checked by the vet a day or 2 before leaving the cattery.
We register our cats and litters with TICA, and when proof of spaying/neutering is provided by the new owner, we will send the registry papers to the new owner.
